Initial Designs

Over the past semester, the students in Sustainable Landscape Design Studio collaborated with professional designers and each other to develop workable designs for sites around campus. Here are the results for WestCo, which are not necessarily final plans, but serve as important starting points for where we will end up.

  1. Nice job with your project. All progress happens locally, and this hits the sustainable sweet spot– helping the land, the community, and employing students. FYI, in my world of soil conservation in the West, swales are called grassed waterways and cover crops are called green manure. Still, a rose is a rose…
